Crashpad is a temporary lodging accommodation for flight crews with other crew members. If crews are living in another state and need to be resident in another country usually on the day of travel is before work, the flight crew member has to pay out of pocket for their accommodation as they do not officially work. Only until they have reported to the airport for work, the airline put them in a hotel. Until then, this is where crash pads come into play.
Crashpad is recognized by both the large and small airlines as the
primary Internet portal for off-duty crew accommodation for staff.
