The Kew Gardens Empty Bowls Event |

The Kew Gardens Empty Bowls Event will take place on Sunday, March 18th, 4-6pm at The New Homestead Home. Imagine 200 friends and neighbors sitting around communal tables, sharing a simple meal of soup and bread in ceramic bowls created by local potters and community artists (like you!), served with the help of Girl Scout Troop 4007 and a devoted group of seniors. There will be two hours of music, poetry and lots of lively conversation. Educational material, information and referrals on access to NYC services will be available. Proceeds of the day will be donated to the Food Bank for New York City. Celebrity Bowl Silent Auction signed and designed by well known celebrities.
